Llwyddo’n Lleol 2050 aims to demonstrate that Gwynedd and Ynys Môn offer vibrant opportunities and a promising future.
With the emigration of families and young people being recognised as one of the main reasons for the decline in the number of Welsh speakers in these strongholds. Llwyddo’n Lleol 2050’s aim is to persuade young people and families who are at risk of leaving, or have already left, that having a bright future is possible, with a good job within an exciting field in their native community.
The current programme is administered across Gwynedd and Ynys Môn by Menter Môn, a not-for-profit social enterprise that realises various projects to unlock the potential of our people and resources to secure the future of our communities.
Llwyddo’n Lleol is funded by the Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and is supported by the Isle of Anglesey County Council, Cyngor Gwynedd and the ARFOR Programme which is looking at using entrepreneurship and developing the economy to support the Welsh Language strongholds and, by doing so, sustaining the language.
