The aim of the Profi programme is to improve the skills of young people in order to prepare them for the world of work.
Through the scheme we provide support for young people to identify their skills and strengths including advice on interviews, identifying world of work skills, discovering opportunities, CV support and help with applying for jobs. We will encourage them to take advantage of local opportunities including work experience, volunteering, apprenticeships and jobs.
We will make this a reality by going out to schools and further education colleges in order to present different aspects of the scheme to them in the form of face-to-face talks and workshops in schools in order to tailor the support on a 1-to-1 basis with children and people young.
We will develop a series of podcasts and films to encourage and showcase the exciting opportunities available locally.
