{"id":4914,"date":"2025-01-07T10:44:09","date_gmt":"2025-01-07T10:44:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/llwyddonlleol2050.cymru\/2025\/01\/07\/winner-of-mentro-element-llwyddon-lleol-launches-his-business\/"},"modified":"2025-01-07T10:44:09","modified_gmt":"2025-01-07T10:44:09","slug":"winner-of-mentro-element-llwyddon-lleol-launches-his-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/llwyddonlleol2050.cymru\/en\/2025\/01\/07\/winner-of-mentro-element-llwyddon-lleol-launches-his-business\/","title":{"rendered":"Winner of Mentro element, Llwyddo&#8217;n Lleol launches his business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">After receiving financial support of \u00a32000 and attending 10 weeks of business training sessions through the\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Llwyddo<\/span>\u2019<span class=\"il\">n<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Lleol<\/span>\u00a0project, Daniel Grant is launching his sustainable clothing company, Pen Wiwar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Daniel Grant from Felinheli applied for support through the\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Mentro<\/span>\u00a0initiative,\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Llwyddo<\/span>&#8216;<span class=\"il\">n<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Lleol<\/span>\u00a0programme with the aim of developing his business world skills and getting help to establish a sustainable clothing company in Gwynedd.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Daniel&#8217;s work is inspired by nature and the outdoors in North Wales and that is reflected in the company&#8217;s name, Pen Wiwar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Through the support of\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Llwyddo<\/span>&#8216;<span class=\"il\">n<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Lleol<\/span>\u2019s\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Mentro<\/span>\u00a0initiative, Daniel had the opportunity to attend 10 weekly sessions with business experts and an opportunity to gain financial support to move Pen Wiwar from being an idea to a business.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">After 10 weeks of listening, discussing and learning, a \u2018Pitch Perfect\u2019 evening was held, where the 12 individuals from North West Wales, who were part of the scheme, had the opportunity to present their innovative business ideas to a panel of critics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Daniel came out on top and took the prize that night receiving an extra \u00a31000 to develop his business.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Daniel said: \u201cI was lucky enough to win the extra \u00a31000 after being on the ten week programme where we learned something different every week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8220;Winning the award meant a lot to me, and meant that I could go ahead and start the business a lot sooner than we would have otherwise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8220;Working with local artists to create cool and unique clothes is a dream of mine, and\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Llwyddo<\/span>&#8216;<span class=\"il\">n<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Lleol<\/span>\u00a0has helped me make that dream come true.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Daniel added: &#8220;Being part of the\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Llwyddo<\/span>&#8216;<span class=\"il\">n<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Lleol<\/span>\u2019s\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Mentro<\/span>\u00a0initiative, gave me goals and targets on a weekly basis to start the business.
